Laurie Auditorium was a challenging place to setup since I had no choice but to block front row seats to set up the crane and the HVX200. The Panasonic DVC200P was set up in the wide shot and slightly right of center. Unfortunately the exit was on center and I did not want to block the exit. It was the first time I was to use 3 cameras at TPSMEA and a first time for the camera crane. First time that Christine and her mom did not go, and the the first time for us to use wireless credit card transactions. It was the first time for Kady, Edeline, Grant, Evelyn, Abbey, Leslie, and Ken to be there. It was also the first time for us to have a reservation at the Hard Rock (we barely made it). Another first is renting a 15 passenger van! A big time first was the price increase which resulted in higher profits! Almost $9000 in an evening of recording! Very nice. The first time is the greatest!
The crew was absolutely amazing! The teamwork and the leadership demonstrated by everyone just amazed me. I felt like I assembled the perfect team or at least God did. We were all there to have fun, do a great job recording/taking orders and have more fun! The crew bonded and became friends. To borrow from the famous quote of the Peace Corps: TPSMEA was more than a job, it was an adventure!
